Scope & Content This collection is comprised of photographs, clippings, immigration documents, pamphlets and books, and handwritten ledger and estate documents related to the life of Nils Christopherson and his wife Gertrude Larson Christopherson.
Biographical Information Nils Christopherson (also Nels Christofferson) was born June 16, 1854 in Bolshög, Christianstad province (now Skåne). He married his wife, Gertrude Larson, in 1880 and they had 3 children. They emigrated to the United States in 1886 and settled in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1896 they moved to Clear Lake, Wisconsin, and settled on a farm. Nils Christopherson passed away in 1919 and Gertrude in 1948.
